I'm still here!

You probably figure that I've fallen off the planet. That's not the case. Just been very busy closing up year end stuff. I can't complain about the weather. It's been a fairly mild winter for us here in the northwest corner of Connecticut. We've had a nice sampling of snow. Some freezing rain, but for the most part we've been problem free. Now that I've put that in print, you know that's all going to change.

I've been working on pulling my sewing room back together again. I can't bring myself to take down my Christmas decorations. The tree looks so pretty and it's still living. Hopefully it will still be living when the ground thaws so that we can plant it in the yard. The plan is to decorate it for the appropriate holidays until planting.

Work on the dining room has come to a halt until spring. Can't break down any walls until we can vent the house properly. In the meantime, hubby and I are filling our time doing all of the little odd and end projects that we keep putting to the side. Nothing worth mentioning.

We've also done a bit of post season shopping and found quite a few bargains. Everything was brought home and stored until next Christmas. I'm sure by then I'll have forgotten what we bought and opening up the storage boxes will bring the same pleasure as opening up a Christmas present.

Well, time to call it a day here. Stay safe and God Bless.

Happy New Year!

Growing up would never have been the same without an after dinner discussion about Ann Landers' latest article. I'm posting a comment she made regarding New Years. I couldn't agree more.

Ann Landers
"Let this coming year be better than all the others. Vow to do some of the things you've always wanted to do but couldn't find the time. Call up a forgotten friend. Drop an old grudge, and replace it with some pleasant memories. Vow not to make a promise you don't think you can keep. Walk tall, and smile more. You'll look ten years younger. Don't be afraid to say, 'I love you'. Say it again. They are the sweetest words in the world."

Happy New Year Family & Friends!
I Love You!
