A Pirate Chest for Raven Hawk

The before...

The after! Pirate chest seating. My husband is having the time of his life rebuilding this boat. I'm having fun helping him. What he doesn't come up with, I do. It's amazing how our imaginations compliment each other. The seat isn't quite finished. The cushions need to be secured and buttons need to be added. I donated my gold goatskin to the project when we decided to go with the treasure chest seating.z

Hubby wanted a side view of the skull panel to show that it is three dimensional. I'm pleased with the way it came out.

Tomorrow we start working on the other bench. I have a feeling that my sewing/upholstery job is going to be easier than his woodworking.

Ravens for Raven Hawk

Hubby is refurbishing a 1990 Marlin Escourt. He's dubbed it Raven Hawk and we are redoing it in a pirate theme.

I traced hubby's drawing of a raven onto fusible fabric, then machine stitched it to the black. Now to hand stitch it to the side panel of the boat.

This is one of the panels I am currently working on.
This is the opposite side. The bottom panel is already covered. Hubby had to reconstruct both sides as the wood was rotted.

I think this is going to look awesome once it is in place.

Guest Book

We're making good progress with the Guest Book. I posted invites in all of my groups. If you care to share the link with other crafters and quilters, please do. The more the merrier!
